McGruff The Crime Dog

A parents worst nightmare would be the disappearance of their child. Every year children are abducted from their homes and neighborhoods. We would encourage every parent to be involved with their children. Know where they are going, with who plan to be with, when they are going. In short, keep tabs on what your kids are doing and with who. Check up on them, confirm their activity and locations. Share your concerns with the parents of their friends. Watch out for each other and you will be much safer.

The internet can be a useful tool for the home, but it can also allow predators into your home and give them access to your children. Monitor who your children are talking with on line. Limit access to chat rooms and teach your children that not everyone who the chat with on line is a friend and they may not be who they say they are.

That being said, it would be helpful to have a good color photograph available to the police if we need it to help search for a child. As an information resource you can visit the following web site:www.missingkids.com, The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
